Looks great....But I have a question.....I am not a ape hanger fan but yours look right.....The cables seem a bit long. Are they supposed to be that way. I am not being an ass. I really don't know if it is a look or should they be shorter?

no worries I dont think you are being an ass. top be honest I have no idea. my buddies think he may have had some really tall ones and then went shorter and just lefty the cables.
it's my first bike ever and at first I wanted to put some drag bars (always loved that look) but after a week or so of riding it I dig them.
today my friend adjusted the clutch cable and shifter and man what a difference thats alone makes.
:clap

Cultfreak, I dig those apes! :D Unlike Rob, I'm quite the fan of ape hangers (see signature below). How high are yours?

I want less chrome on the bike.

Nice looking bike, love the ape hangers. You might want to crop your avatar image a bit so the bike shows up a little bit larger, it's kinda hard to see. Thanks for posting the larger version, I'm glad we got a chance to take a closer look at it.

I am a drag bar kind of guy (short arms). Those look great though...I would mount the mirrors under the bars.....take it all the way to old school. Just me.

yup I wanna do the mirrors under neith. but first a full blown fluid change, plugs etc.
then new tag light/mount (I am not too much into the billet LED look) then maybe some struts for the rear (maybe just lowering shocks). new exhaust, grips ans derby(?) cover and points cover. but looking at all your guys pictures.. I am changing my mind daily. I will get it figured out!!

also my post was edited and says "removed excess img tags"
what did I do wrong posting the pic? I swear I did it just like the instrctions. sorry...

Don't apologize - you didn't do anything wrong. If you had, I'd have let you know! You just had an extra set of tags on it; the original coding was [I]picture, so when it was posted, you could see one set of IMG tags on either side of the picture. I only removed the second set of tags, that's all. Unless you really wanted those extra tags there, I didn't alter your originally intended posting. If it's something minimal like this, I'll go ahead and clean it up quietly. If it's something important, either to the thread or the forum (adding/removing images, editing language, etc.), then I try to always PM the original poster and let him/her know what I did and why.

As to going to lower-mounted mirrors, the only thing you have to watch for is the sleeves of your jacket. I found that when I rode without a jacket, I could see just fine, but the material from jacket arms tended to block a fair amount of visibility from the mirrors. To get any worthwhile use out of them, I had to flip them back up. I don't like them there, but they're more useful. Hopefully it won't be as bad for you, since your arms won't be angled up as much, but it's just something to be aware of.

thanks for both tips Casper. I went for a short ride today and realized it's been a long time since I wore my leather jacket (planned for a Sporty a long time ago..just didnt get the bike till now) I better lose some lbs.... a little tight.:doh
