I have a 99 883 and a friends uncle at a BBQ on Sunday told me that lace wheels on HD's always lose tire PSI and to check it almost daily. no big deal to me, but is that true?

also whats the advantage (if any) to having a solid rear wheel? I really want to switch to a lace wheel in back (one day) and was curious if it has any affects on the overall enjoyment of the bike.

I check my tire pressure before every ride. Just a habit.

Never heard of any major issues. Many of the spoked wheels require a tube installed with the tire, so that may be the solution your looking for....:geek:geek:geek

If the ride is going to be more than just a jaunt to the store, I check my tire pressures. Only takes a couple of minutes, but least then I know they're safe.

Dito, get in the habit of checking regular, ive had the spoke ends covered on mine like all laced wheels and there is a tube so should be ok.
