hello everyone,
I am new to this site. Just bought my 2002 XL1200C almost a week ago.
I am from NY. I previously had a 1978 CB400a (hondamatic) if anyone has ever heard of that bike. I only bought that because i have only been riding since this past august. But i outgrew that bike real fast. only bought it to get the feel of riding before i bought something bigger. But anyway i dont want to write to much so if anyone has any info or maybe these parts that i need let me know.

does anyone have a full set of mid controls for a 2002 XL1200C. The forward controls are a little to far forward for me and i am also used to mid controls as well so i would like to stick with what i am used to. also does anyone know some good webpages to find sportster parts. i want to get a pull back riser as well to make the bike more comfortable for me. I have looked at J&P Cycles but i was wondering if there were any other places to look for parts.
thanks,
mike

One of the guys in here sent them to me. (I think it was planb). His only request was that I pay postage and pass them on if I couldn't use them. They didn't fit my '89 so I'll pass them on to you with the same provision.

I met a pretty girl about a dozen years ago who had one of those HondaMatics. Interesting bike. She was a teacher - her students thought she was veeerrrrry cool to have a bike. [This is important if you are going to teach children.]

I just bought my wife a 2005 XL1200C and she too would rather have mid controls. If anyone has them from a 04 or 05 "R" as take off's I would like to purchase them also. She came off a 250 NightHawk as a begining bike.

Still at the dealer's (new purchase) having it lowered for her and pick up this coming week. She demo-ed a 883L and loved it. She liked the color (limited edition MetSand & MetTeal) and I liked the bigger tank (I won't have to stop for her to gas up as often).

Ping me off line if possible.

Rock on. That is very cool. I am sure she will enjoy it. I have a lowered 2001 XL1200C and I think it is the greatest thing ever. Granted, I am 6'-1" so the lowering wasn't a necessity but it still rocks!
