I can't claim to have read every post on the XR1200 so sorry if this is old news.

My local dealer told me yesterday that the XR1200 is now no longer a prototype, but a production model which will be on sale in the UK later this year, hopefully by October, but it may actually get to December before they are in the dealers' showrooms.

The Dealership has the bikes on order and promised to contact me when they have a demonstation model. He was even prepared to take an order. The XR1200 is expected to sell in the UK for around £8,000 ($16,023).

I will certainly be accepting the offer of a test ride, but I will have to start saving my pennies if I am going to buy one!

If this hasn't been confirmed elsewhere, my math tells me that it'll be a tad over $10k U.S., if the MoCo ever sells them here.

Thanks for the info. Keep us up to date when it arrives. Also some pics from the view of a guy off the street would be good also.
