Unlike https://www.surdyke.com/hd/catalog.asp, Chicago H-D don't seem to give the 20% discount on internet orders anymore. I typed in 2 separate part numbers, and it came back with the MSRP price on both of them. I clicked "add to my shopping cart" and then "checkout". It still shows the MSRP price .... I am not going to enter my CC number and hit the purchase button if they don't show a discounted price or I will surely be paying MSRP + shipping!

At least from Surdyke, the MSRP and the 20% discounted price clearly shows up after you enter your P/N.

What's with Chicago?

Give them a call, I believe they still give the discount. I read somewhere recently, probably somewhere on this forum, that they got a bunch of heat from the factory about their advertised discounts. They are still giving them but the factory asked them to take the discounted prices off their website. It sounded like a bunch of the other dealers started whining about loosing buisness to them.

Gary is right. Below is an invoice from them for parts I ordered
after they stopped putting the discounted prices on the website.
I E-mailed them and they assured me I would get the 20% discount.

I was going to try H-D Chicago for some parts but did not order because it showed no discount on the web-site. I will try again.

I tried to order from H-D Surdyke but they don't export to the UK (Chicago does)

Sportymark ... Your not trying to order a set of those $600 MSRP Sportster 'Sport' shocks, are you?

Gary is correct. Chicago HD still gives the 20% discount BUT it only showes up on the e-mailed reciept you get after the order. (I just got several parts the otherday)

I am trying to get hold of a set of these shocks, either by mail order or on my visit to NY in Jan.

Hale's HD still gives the 20%. I have had good experience with them. Better still, based on rave reviews from others, I tracked Jenny Sapyta, formerly of Hale's, to Benjy's HD in Huntington, WV. She's 'all that'! She has been working HD parts for 16 years and definitely knows her stuff. Uncommonly easy to work with and seems to stay half a step ahead of you...instinctively knowing what you need-way cool for a parts jockey! I had ordered a low profile compact shield for my bike, reasoning that I was a 'short drink of water' and that I knew I wanted to look 'over' the shield. Well, it was too short...falling below my chin. I was out of the direct blast, but the in the turbulence zone, which caused my head to do a 'bobblehead doll' imitation :frownthre
I had put two 120 mile rides on it and called Jenny back to see what just the larger lexan shield would cost. Before I could get it out of my mouth, she sized up the situation and told me: "no problem, I'll just ship you the standard height windshield, send me the other one back"
Customer service like this is extremely rare. I will go back again and again to Jenny.
