By "harley Race" I mean motorcycle sports that Harleys are still competitive in such as Hillclimbing, Flat track racing, Drag Racing, or Land Speed Racing. I'm going to try and make it to all the event in my neck of the woods that I can this year, which are:

June 3 - Whiterose PA hillclimb
July 7 - Mineral Wells WV flat track race
July 13-14 - Saluda VA Flat track Race
July 28 - Hagerstown MD flat track race
July 29 - Whiterose PA Hillclimb
Sept 30 - Whiterose PA Hillclimb

As you can tell I like Hillclimbs and flat track races the best (you really have to see them in person). These races attract alot of Harley riders and are fun weekend road trips. I suggest attending some this summer. Search the web to find some others in your own area. My question is if anybody plans on attending some "Harley Races" ?

Maybe if you post what you plan on attending, others that are interested in those same events can PM you coordinate riding together.

i have never been into racing much. went to a couple dirt track car races when i was a kid, but haven't been in a long ass time.

looks like they used to have something really special here for flat track racing (the Syracuse Mile), but I don't see anything happening this year.

that's always my luck...day late and a hundred dollars short. :doh

Forget about the ALL HARLEY DRAGS at Maple Grove Raceway, they no longer run there. what a bummer when i looked that up.

Go to all the races at Sturgis every year. Hillclimbing, FLASH races, drags, etc. I am going to enter in the FLASH races this year!!

I will go to the Lonestar Nationals again this year.It was cool last year.

I'd like to go to a Hillclimb - but I can't find Whiterose? Do you know where that is? Last year they were going to do Flat-track in Jersey, but they cancelled. I might do Hagerstown this year. I'll keep an eye on this thread - thanks.

Whiterose is right outside york PA. I think the road it is on is called hillclimb road. Just Google search Whiterose Motorcycle Club.

If any of you guys are cloes at all to Springfield,Illinois. You need to come to either the Memorial Day or Labor Day Mile races. There is nothing like Grand National Dirt Track on a mile.

The Oregon state HOG rally will be held to run with the all Harley drags at Woodburn drag strip.

There is a flat track race at Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run PA tomorrow Saturday May 11. The gates open at 3pm and the race will probably start at 5pm. It is BYOB. Anybody else here up for going? On sunday there is a TT race near lancaster, but I don't believe any harleys participate in the TT races so I do not plan on attending.

If you can't make the races. Live I Sports.com has the entire AMA Grand National Series for both twins and singles. Both the Springfield Mile and Springfield TT races were free this weekend. Courtesy of Harley-Davidson. Once they do charge it is $5.95 per race. Well worth it.

The Hillclimb at White Rose MC near York PA. is this upcoming Sunday June 3rd. This is a type of racing you all should see. Every once in awhile a Harley beats one of the big snowmobile powered bikes. The Harleys always give the best showings though. They're loud and American sounding to boot.
