got new visor style trim rings for the headlights...
no problem with the two "driving lights" (harley calls them passing lights), but the one on the headlight will not install- the top part will not stay connected. pretty strange problem, but i thought i would ask if anyone here has installed one of these.

i took it back to the dealer and they told me to install it over the old one. went back home and no way is it gonna fit over the old one. two trips to the dealer for this simple part and still got the old one on!
the part number that i am dealing with is harley part number 69738-05 - this is what it looks like:

Yes I did. I don't recall there being any problem, and it's been on now for nearly two years.

I had a little trouble, just gave it a solid rap on the top,,down and in.then tightened it and rapped it again to seat it.

mine just wont stay attached at the top... guess i will try to bend the two latches to see if that helps. still kinda wonder whether i have the right part (its the right number, but i wonder whether the right part is in the package- maybe someone switched it- the only reason i can think of that it wont work)

I just got the visor trim ring for my head light. I took the oem one off. But now I can't seem to get the screw tighten enough to flush the two lower pices. I can almost get it close, but the front of the gap will almost close, but the back of it still has a gap. How can I get this to tighten?

I just installed a trim ring on the headlight it seems that at thr bottom of the ring when tight there is a small gap it fits tight and has been on for 120 miles now.

Not the Visor style, but a trim ring none the less:
