Hey whats up i have a 04 1200c Im looking to move my front directionals further down my forks I have the relocating kit on now but there doesnt seem to be enough slack to move them any further. Right now they sit above my headlight just looking to get them below it and the only way i can see doing this is to unplug them and take the wire out of the riser and rerun the wore behind the forks or something. Is there any easier way not sure if ill make it look messy trying to run the wires behind the forks and whatnot.

I have mine as low as they can go and it doesn't
look too messy but then again I don't have a
Custom so I can't say how yours would look after.

I've relocated my '06 Custom's front directionals to the lower triple tree. I think if you remove your tank, you'll find some extra wire there that you can get by undoing some snap ties, and re-snap tying the wire back to the frame.
Hopefully somebody with an '04 who is 100% positive will chime in.
The wires do not look bad at all running behind the triple trees. I just ran a snap tie between the pinch area of the tree (around the bolt) to secure the wire in place.

Ill have to look at the wires tomorow i have my tank off bc im in the process of painting everything so i figured id adress the directionals now. Does your wires go through your riser lenster or do they just go straight back to where they plug in,and how are they attached to your lower triple trees?

The wires don't run up through the riser, they just follow the neck up to the backbone of the frame.

You need to purchase a relocation kit.
The MOCO offers one, but most people find that they are too long and make the lights stick out too far.
There is a shorter kit (which I have and you can see in the pic above) which you can purchase from J&P, DK, Drag Specialties etc.
In addition to the aftermarket kit, you'll need some bolts to attach the light housing to the stalk. Usually, the kits come with longer bolts to attach the stalk to the tree - these longer bolts replace the stock tree pinch bolts.
If you do a search of the Lighting threads, there must be at least a half dozen threads where you will find all the details.

ya i have the reloaction kit from j&p but it didnt move it to my lower triple trees it just lowered it to my tubes i guess theres a different kit?

On my XL custom there was enough extra wire behind the riser cover. I just had to take off the cover and pull some of the wire through. Do it from the back, under the speedometer. The cover is held on by just two torx screw. It's not necessary to take the whole thing apart, just take off that back cover.

I just ordered the kit to put some Deuce style signals on my bike. I had to put some smaller OD spacers than come with the kit (like these (http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CP-SIG-SPACERS)) to work with that particular style of light.
