Thanks, for everyones comments. I am going to bob the rear fender this weekend and then ceramic coat the top part of the pipes (from the head to the stepped portion of the pipe) black. Lots of BLACK a little CHROME.

Yeah Im thinking on how high I should go With it. I mean i bought a metal cutting wheel so I have to use it right? You buy you must use, or so I tell my wife. I will take a few sanps of thr progress. After looking at the bike I may black out the struts as well. Too much chrome make my head hurt. I'll keep you posted.

Gearhead, I bobbed the fender last night it looks great!!!! I also wrapped my pipes with black DEI exhaust Wrap. I did not take pictures of the job but i can in detail explain it to you if you PM me. I can post a slide show detailing what I did and how. I am really impressed with the way it looks. The exhaust wrap looks stellar!!!!!! Anyone have any info on taking care of wrap and if silicone spray is neccesary. Will post new pics when it warms up and I can clean it up need to touch up the rear fender with paint and a little buffing with a low grit wheel on drummel.

SkippyRay,

I really like wht you have done, that bike looks great. It's nice to see a mix of adding chrome as in the custom headlight and adding black as in the pipe wrap. I also like the attitude of the chunky tires. Great job!!!

Yea, I would be interested in seeing some pics of the bob job. I suppose you just drew a line on the fender and cut along it with the dremmel? What have you done with the edge? Did you grind it any to smooth it out?

Thanks for the update.

The 883r came that way. When I had the head done I ordered it Black. So I am Not sure what a powder coat would cost.
