Found this on the website called "Dragracingonline" though some of you might be interested it what it costs to play with the real big guys. And this is not a "Pro-Stock" type motor either. I can't begin to think what the motor in the V&H Pro-Stock Harley or Drag Specialities "Buell" costs. By the way one of those Pro-Stock "Buells" ridden by Matt Smith ran 6.90+ last weekend in the quarter, pretty f"in quick for just two cylinders.

It's like they say if you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch.

The text below is the caption for the attached photo.

The Agent was out at the AHDRA event at St. Louis the week before the NHRA circus came to town and while visiting the Ray Price Top Fuel Harley pits he noticed that team installing a new engine for yesterday’s AHDRA event at the Texas Motorplex. The Agent asked what one of the 180-inch, fuel-injected engines costs. The answer? Between $30-35,000, less fuel and oiling system. Yikes! A V-8 500 inch long block for a fuel car is said to go for about $55,000! (Jeff Burk photo)

Yep, Guys down at Southern Motorcycle are putting together a 190 cu.in. top tuel beast. Base engine, consisting of billet cut Sportster style four cam case, cylinders, and heads........period. $35,000. BTW they are selling a top fuel drag bike and extra engine just to try to pay for this beast :) This thing has three inch intakes on each cylinder .
