Attention!

Burlington Bike Night on June 2nd is always a nice event. I think another ride may be called to order. How about a meeting spot in NJ, maybe some PA Shunpikers join us all this ending at the Burlington Bike Night would make for a great ride. Anybody up for it???

Bsporty - yes
Bern - yes
Addicted - yes
Hawk Mech - yes
Acenorm Maybe
Dec Maybe (yes if we can talk him into it)
EVO Maybe (yes if he calls in sick on Friday)

So there you have the responses thus far. Anyone else?

Hmmm...biker babes on Sportsters, who could resist that offer...

Seriously, let me see if I can scrounge up some of the crew from PA. But last time it took us a while to find HH...gotta keep the guy with the GPS up front (even if he is on a RK). If there's a few from PA going, maybe we'll just meet in Burlington (or at least closer up that way). Otherwise, I'll likely run out to HH solo.

Is there a time frame yet?

I'm a maybe at this point. Been busting my ass around he house lately and deserve a ride :) Thankfully no overtime for me this weekend! Bike night is a blast, but I can't bring lawn chairs on the bike. Looks like I'll have to convince the wife to drive the truck while I go for a putt without her.

Of course, I was just pulling into Pic's last time (having missed the ride for technical reasons myself) :frownthre as the ride ended.

OK, so the "ride" is from HH to Burlington? That's cool. I'll probably be out riding earlier. The weather is threatening thunderstorms :cloudmad (like today), but I don't take to threats too kindly :boxing so I say, let's go for it! Count me in! :tour

O.K. here is a few more details....
If any P.A guys wanna meet us at Mills HD to ride down to HH, let me know.
Also, we can either take Rt. 130 into burlington, or some backroads. The backroads will make for a little longer of a ride and would be nicer than takin 130, but its all up to you!

dagsportster
2nd June 2007, 01:02
What time at Mills? I'd recommend the back roads. Burlco has some great ones and 130 isn't anything to write home about.

I'd like to take my wife along, but she's traveling home from Washington D.C. Saturday morning. We'll talk about it over the phone tonight, and we'll decide if I should go it alone (meet up with you), or wait for her and ride down to Burlington by early evening.
If you announce plans to meet and leave from Asbury Park, please don't wait on me. I'll either be there well before the announced departure time, or I'll be home waiting for my wife. In either event, I sincerely thank you Bern and everyone for making plans as you do. I hope to see you somewhere along the route, or at Burlington tomorrow night. Ride safe.

Well the route is still a little uncertain as I will have to see what everyone wants to do.For now we are heading back out to 72 then down Pasedena rd.Then we will hop onto 539 for a little to a backroad of horses and farms.:wonderlan .We can either take this road out to rt. 130(bordentown) and roar down 130, or we can take a crazy back way that will add another 30 min. or more to the already (approximate)hour long ride.:tour

If you're going around Ft. Dix to the east (near Lakehurst) to 539, you could take that to 537 (Monmouth Rd) which is nice, down to maybe 670 and take that west right into Burlington near Mills HD.

Special thanks to Brandi and Tony (the BF) for leading the ride - I'm gonna take that road again! It's funny when even Jersey people say "Wow -- this is Jersey?!".

I was thinking about that WWII Bimmer with side car and machine gun this morning before I logged in and I'm glad you guys got some photos -- too bad the owner wasn't there at the time (the guy was in full uniform and looked the part).

Thanks Dan, for posting the photos. They're great for a cell phone! I'm amazed you caught us riding in. And thanks, Brad, for blocking my ugly carcass in the group shot (seriously!).

Brandi and Tony, you two need to get lost more often and keep planning out great rides like that!

Anyway there is a benefit in Red Bank (bern's area) on July 2
for a friend of mine. I will be still out west and I can't make it
in person. :(

It would be cool if you guys/gals could put together a ride to that
event, music and food and at the same time helping out someone in need.
