I miss a lot of the ladies that posted here. I've been depressed somewhat from it I think. Usually I buy or get something new and the depression passes, least for a while. I got myself a new lawn mower, but the wife said I couldn't keep. I do have a pic of the mower though, sure was a nice one.

OK, so. Last week on Feb 28th, I hydroplaned on the way to school and totalled my car. As a single mother and full-time college student, I have been under a lot of stress being concerned about how I was going to replace that car (it was old and I only had liability) so that I can finish the semester. It's an hour commute each way and not warm enough to ride my bike yet. Spring break was this week, and I've spent the whole thing depressed and laying around watching Greys Anatomy on Netflix or surfing local newspapers, craigslist, eBay, local car shops, etc, looking for a good reliable car in my budget. I don't wanna finance because my income isn't steady while in college and I don't wanna find myself with a payment that I can afford now but not later. Well, It's lot like me to be kept down and alas... I found a car within my budget. It's an old Lexus, really nice, and I got it for a bit below private party resale value so if I end up not loving it, I can sell it after the semester and prolly even make a small profit.

Here is me after a long day of car auctions, buying, shuffling registration and insurance, and finally back home in my driveway so I can go in and relax!

hey, i just noticed you wear your goggles strap outside of your helmet. I never considered doing that! I wear goggles, cuz the arm on my glasses frames seems to let air into my helmet and I hate feeling like my head is getting ripped off. I have a hard time getting glasses or goggles b/c I have a small face, but maybe if I try some with the strap outside of my helmet I might end up with more options....

Thanks guys. Here's a little update about my me:

I'm in the home stretch for this semester, finals start the first week of May. Whenever I have a little down time at all (I don't have much) I'm trying to get some riding in. I'll be commuting on the bike instead of the cage soon, but "April Showers" are slowing that down a little. Clinicals are going well, my patients seem to like me even if I have no idea what I'm doing, haha. I'm getting an A in MicroBiology and Philosophy, and an A- in everything else, so I guess I'm doing well enough on that front.

I've been replacing little parts on my bike that I accumulated over the winter, sprucing it up a bit. I put on SE slip-ons without baffles, it sounds like a true little hoglet now. There have been other minor stuff too, and rust busting too, but all that comes with the territory when your bike is 24 years old. In May, I'd like to plan a weekend trip on it to the Philly area to meet the big group of XLFers that live near there. I also would like to ride up to Syracuse and have lunch with Bob and his wife there, and any other area XLFers that wanna join us. Dinosaur BBQ, here we come! haha

If you stumble across me on face book and want to keep up with me there, I update it quite a bit and I'd love to have more XLFers on there. Just send me a friend request with a note that your from the XLforum on the request, with your username. Word of caution though, I've already had a couple XLFers on there that the min they we on my page, they..like.. puked all over it(!) so I unfriended them. I love it when people comment on my stuff, (especially intelligent witty comments) but not several comments on every last thing on my page or asking me on a wall post every single day how my bike is doing, I mean, c'mon, be appropriately friendly strangers, not stalker-friendly!! haha

Anyways, have a great day and weekend, I'll try and sign in again within the week and keep up with all of y'all. ;)

Hiya Regina....glad to hear your school is going very well...!!!!....I haven't been on here a lot lately...finishing up the nitty gritty fix-um ups on the other house....lots of work there but we should be closing on that this week and I'll be free of that second house work stuff for good. Unfortunately the work on that house has put me further behind on the bike rebuild than I wanted to be...but I will be riding this summer...but maybe not til July or so.
D and I enjoyed breakfast with you guys at the Superswap weekend so sure we would love to get together again for a Dino dinner!....I'd just suggest to not make the trip up here during the Syracuse Nationals...if you thought the Superswap weekend was crazy...ya oughta see the classic and hot rod cagers going at it....lol....

Liquid eyeliner is a type of makeup that creates that dark line across the top of her (actually their) eyelid. Famous women like Angelina Jolie use is a lot b/c it looks awesome,makes eyes 'pop' in photography, however, I must be very carefully applied for the close face shots or it looks more like a crayon (you really shouldn't be noticing makeup much at all, especially if it is applied well, and it's hard not to notice the crayon-look, haha).

Anyways, I can't afford you. ;)
