Ive been playing with the idea for a while of removing the speedo and just have a tachometer, I've finally done it. i like the tach better except for not having odometer. Gone also is auto cancel feature for turn signals which i never cared for anyway. Anyone know of a simple digital odometer for purposes of keeping track of total mileage and trip? One thing i miss is not knowing how much longer i can ride without getting gas.

I was toying with the idea of a side mount speedo. I have some clamps where you could hang one off the frame on the left side. It would be the full sized speedo, but it might work for you. If you are interested I'll mock it up on my bike. (Wouldn't work for me - fat tank totally blocks it)

Thanks for the offer. im thinking maybe one of those mini speedometers now. i use the tach more than the speedo and know my speed in revs in 5th gear. i just got bored of the mickeymouse ears on top of my bike. one gauge looks cleaner. im gonna check out cyberdyne and other companies for products.

Kinda hard to fight a speeding ticket if you have no idea how fast you are really going.
It is also Illegal in most states to remove the odometer

you could also look at a push bike speedo they come in wired or wireless
models.they usually have speed ,trip and total distance travelled.
Over here in NZ they range from About $15 up to 60ish.
