PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING!

Some people made comments in the Erie Run Thread (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=40012&page=55) expressing an interest in a Lake Ontario Run, similar to our current lovable Erie Run. Before we get too far in the planning of the Next Great Lake Run, how interested would everybody be in going on a Lake Ontario Run?

I'll set up another poll asking roughly when you would like to see this run happen, so this one just assumes that the date of the run is a weekend that you have nothing going, you have time off, and your daughter isn't getting married that Sunday for the third time. It's very simple. Do you want to go? Yes, no or maybe.

If you do vote yes or maybe, please follow this link (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=61465) and vote there on when you'd like to do the run. If you vote no here, please don't vote on the other poll, as it'll just skew the numbers (plus I'm going to leave it visible, so we can see who's messing with us! :boxing).

How many days do you think this run around Ontario would take? About the same as the Lake Erie run?

I haven't done a timeline on Mapquest or anything like that yet, but I'd like to keep it to no more than three days (SOP: Friday > Sunday). We might have to hop on a freeway for an hour here or there - like I say, I don't know yet - but if we keep it to three days, then we'll certainly get a lot more people willing to come out. Taking one day off isn't that big a deal to a lot of people; two or three days would make most people think twice.

Friday to Sunday is doable for us living close to Lake Ontario, and would be enough time for a decent ride.. or Saturday to Monday to accomodate those coming from the west and need the Friday to get to Buffalo.

I'd do a portion. Most of my vacation days this year are spoken for, (I get 22 of them), except for a couple of days. So I'm basically in for weekend days only. Since I live on Lake Ontario, that's easy for me.

I say the poll speaks for itself. Early fall would be awesome for some good country scenery. Two weeks after Labor day, the 15th. By the way, gettysburg is approaching, 07/13/07. Keep in mind Mac, Danny, possibly Rich and myself will be attending. Sorry to add that on this thread.

It all depends on whether we are going OVER Ontario, or UNDER it..

I can do that weekend. Would be interested in meeting on the way out of the Cleveland area with you and SD. You planning on trying to get to Buffalo or farther the first day? Pounding the 4 lanes up I90?

Well mac, I can never resist women let alone women in bikinis so I guess count me in. I will talk to Danny.
