Hey all, I am working on turning my 1988 Sporty into a Cafe Racer. I am new to the forum, so any direction you can give me on good parts sources will be greatly appreciated. Some specifics I am looking for are:
Small sport fairing & chin
Rear-sets (for a 1988) "normal shift pattern
Clip-ons
Body parts
Thanks in advance for all replies.

Chainsikle has rearsets for less than Storz. Clip ons are widely available. Let us know if you find any good fairings, they've been hard to find.

Harley makes a nice, small quarter fairing. They also have chins.

Crossroads has rearsets and passenger pegs. Very good quality too! The rearsets are $500 but well worth it to me. They're also a standard pattern too! I'm looking to add the passenger peg mounts too so the ladies can ride with. http://xlforum.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
Here's a pic of them on my bike...

Thanks for the info. I already checked out Storz. They do have rearsets for a 1988 Sporty, but only in the reverse shift pattern.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out. I probably shouldn't mention this in this forum, but I also have a 04 ZX10R. The sportster is kind of a fun project bike to tinker with. I also have a 02 Heritage Springer. Life is too short to have just one bike. They are all fun in their own way.

Just got rear sets from Chainsickle, standard shift pattern. Nice machine work and great value $$. I'm pleased, check em out. http://home.comcast.net/~chainsikle/wsb/html/view.cgi-catalog.html-.html
They have plans to make clip-ons also.
