Whose steel braided lines do you think are the best? Do you like the clear coating?

That coating will save your paint and chrome. The coated lines are the way to go.

Russell and Barnett. Don't Get coated. They eventually yellow. Have my
lines 4 yrs and they hold up fine.

Takes a longtime to yellow and can easily be removed with a razor. Plus no bug guts stuck in braid, just wipe clean.

Wax the coating once inawhile it will help with the yellowing.

Get the black coated for the stealth look..........

Also get the line in 3-pieces so if you change something in the future you only have to change 1 piece whether it's the cable length or 1 of the ends (different master or caliper mounting)

No braid for me, black only.

But if I were to get braided it would be the coated type ONLY.

I just installed the Russell "Renegade" front brake line (J&P # 242-631).
I like it.
I went w/ the Renegade b/c it's a black braided line. I didn't want to change out any other cables and I thought one silver line w/ the other black ones would look funny.
And yes, it's coated.
