Pretty nice looking, would paint it black, ad a 2nd disc brake to the front and the flat track style rear seat/fender combo.

Too many shiny bits. It hurts my eyes. Must be a bitch to keep those pipes a shining.

Pretty cool, but the 21" front wheel pretty much disqualifies it from being a cafe racer. The exhaust is a little overwhelming, but all in all, I like it.

Oh that look nice, i will send the owner a can of black (flat)spray paint to repaint all that chromey stuff. Also rip off that front fender. Hell i'll through in some pipe wrap to keep the glare from those pies out of our eyes.

Ok but this IS a "cafe racer" right?

Yes, thats a 'Cafe racer' and a really nice one to boot!! :smoke

Its a Ironhead Sportster motor shoehorned into a Norton 'Featherbed' frame with Norton front end w/dual brake front drum brake laced and trued to a 19" aluminum wheel. Rear brake is stock, laced and trued to an 18" aliminum rim and has been flipped over to line up with the right drive of the Sporty motor. Looks like a Manx replica gas tank, probably fiberglass and a solo cafe seat. Appears to have low bars and not 'clip-ons'. Hand made rear sets finish off the bike. Again, very nice job!!

I meant its stock with add-ons out of the HD Accessories catalogue. No special selfmade parts etc .... :shhhh

Yup...looks like I'm with the majority here...

Not a caf ...but still a nice sporty

I LIKE the ironhead in the featherbed tho......:D

My sporty's a caf...
and it's gonna be even more so when it finally gets rebuilt...
as it's gonna get rearsets...and carbon guards, mini fairing and hopefully tank..
Brembo calipers..Ohlins steering dampner...custom swingarm and an 88" fire breather topped off with a custom 2-1 exhaust :D:D:D:D :yikes

got most of the parts already....barrells, pistons, cams,S&S roller rockers, S&S Supreme rod set, Brembos, Ohlins dampner, half a dozen sets of heads to play development with...plus of course one 11 second '98 1200S as a willing donor..;)

just doin a deal with a mate to make the carbon guards and tank...

and I have to make the custom swingarm...as soon as I sell one of my bikes and free up some $$$$$ it'll finally be started on

Here are some pics I dug up of old the Vincent Black Shadow. This baby was king in the 50s era. V-twin, back pegs, and insanely light. I'd love to ride one sometime, but I imagine it would be a bit like playing old video games. At the time of being state-of-the art, they were lots of fun. Now, when you go back and play old video games, you almost can't belive you thought they were fun. You can't stand the blocky graphics and crappy sound when you match them up against today's state of the art. I wonder how this bike would feel compared to a really high-class sport bike, like Monster 900.

I see somebody is making modern Vincent bikes. Liquid cooled and moderized. Hummmmm, temptation. Cafe racers were made for twistys.
