? converting 74 to L side shift???????????

I am a new owner of a 74 sporty. I have had bikes my whole life and am a pretty good wrench. Is there any way to convert to a left side shift or are there cross over forward controls. I was looking at controls from a 75/76 with a cable rear brake and thinking of trying to modify it. just thought that I would bounce the idea around a bit. Thanks, Ray.

That should work man the, '75 & '76 were basicly just a conversion putting the shift shaft in place of the brake shaft .

Yes, but the 75 & 76 had a very clugly shifting hardware.. Why bother... Shifting on the right is cool... and you will get used to it. I go back and forth to other bikes... and most of the time I get the right lever.... LOL

Put a suicide shift on her...leave her on the right....;)
