It was sad but new beginning for me today, because today I let go of my Sporty and picked up a new Buell an 1125 CR:D

Five years ago I started with a bone stock 883 XL and through the years it went through many changes. Year after year It morphed a bit til finally I said im done. It was a great bike, 27K later and not a real bad moment with the Sporty.

I will miss my 1200 and all the trials along the way and great people and friends too. I could not pass up the opportunity of a smoking deal on such a great bike and to start in another direction in my motorcycle future. And boy what a leap!

Spent most of the day on the 1125 and all I can say is WOW Holy CRAP #$%$
What a machine, what a motor, brakes, suspension, tires, did I say Brakes ?

It's like going from the Flintstones to the Jet- sons. Don't take this wrong apples and oranges but I was really impressed to say the least.

I would own another Sporty in the future in a heartbeat, it was just time for a change and radical change it was. All I can say is Thank You Eric Buell and Harley Davidson.

Most of all the staff at Henderson HD for a Smokin Deal and top quality service. Special thanks to Tom the Sales Manager. ( A good friend )

I still have my rear Tour Pak I made from parts if anyone is interested. It mounts to 04-newer sporty s with a quick detach kit . Just PM me if interested.

Everybody reaches a point of "growth"... and it's different for each of us.
Congrats on the new scoot!

looks nice. I was strongly considering it but the ones they had were $5999, the $4999 were gone already.

$5999 was still a fair price but I didn't need it. I have a fast jap bike already that's paid for.

I love that bike. Those calipers are sharp, those rotors are sweet and that is a neat looking pipe.

nice score

They are a Buell option bar since I did not care for the clubman type. These give me a nice sit up position but not to far up. I really like these bars :)

Blaze, ya ever get the itch for speed on a budget, think Kawasaki ZRX1200 or ZRX1100 for less money and less torque :banana

if nothing else click the link for that first pic :D

I just bought one of those for $2750 in nice shape with a Stainless header, Titanium Ex Can, good rubber. I almost bought a CR with intention of selling the jap scrap. But i buy bikes $$ and only so many pennies in the penny jar.

was that a $300 option or did they give those to you? I was told there was a raised bar, but it needed longer lines, so it was 300.

when I am not knuckles up I like to be on a standard, or UJM bike. which is what that seems like with the normal bars like yours. the stock were nutty, lol!

Man I was at the dealer today eyeing up a cr in the same color. It had a sticker/tag stating (no reasonable offer refused) then under that was another tag, $11k and some change. Now I don't know much about the Buells, so is the cr the same motor/suspension/trans/weight as the r?
