Just put a pair of new 880's on my 98 custom. went 90/90 21 on the front and 130/90HB16 on the back [the back was rubbing on one side so I went down a size]. the bike seems real solid now and the slight low speed wobble I had before is gone. I hope I get the milage out of these that I got out of my H-D Dunlops [13,000 back, 15,000 front]. The bike just feels more stable. Dave

Check the Metzler website for proper tire pressure for make & model bike.
Running the max pressure recomended on their site will greatly increase tire life.
If you had them put on at an H/D dealer I can almost guarantee they are under inflated.;)

You will like the Metzlers... went with a 150 on the rear of my wife's 2000 Sportster and the 160 on the rear of my 2004 Sportster. Very good all-around tire!

I just put a 140 on the back of my '95 and it's REAL close to the belt. How did you get a 150 in there? Chain conversion?

My 1200 is a '95 and I think a Metz 130 is all I would risk on the back. However, it is the front that is a problem - a 100 (at 108mm actual width) will be very tight between the mudguard brackets - parallel on a '95 but on later models curved outwards!

Any one else noticed this and is it a problem in reality?
