I did a search but I could not find any information on this.

Is this possible? I love the way the 2004 tank on the Customs looks. I am not a fan of the peanut gas tanks. I have looked at the custom tanks that are out there and I don't think they fit the bike as nice.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Not without some modification.
I believe (please correct me if I'm wrong) 1996-2003 were all the same tanks and the '04/'05 tanks have completely different mounts.

Sure it will fit ONCE you make the mods. Soory it isn't just a bolt on switch

Also believe it can be done, but you have to reposition the mountings. Best is to try find a used '04 tank, doesn't really matter what colour or condition, as you will have to respray in anyway after the mod.

That was going to be my guess. Oh well, it just will give me an excuse to find a 95th edition bike. Like I really need an excuse to buy THAT one.

04/05 tanks are different to previous models in the mounts and also the lengths. The Roadster and Custom tanks are also different to each other on the 04 and 05 models (in length).
