What do you mean "as if you need one"
sportymark 6th December 2004, 19:10 I presume he means an incentive to buy one!!
Mind you $1000 won't get you much in Harley world!!
cbrunson 6th December 2004, 20:06 That's for certain. Genuine motor acc. are overpriced. I had a hard time justifying spending their money on some of that stuff. Anyway, I managed to put almost 1000 miles on it before the snow fell here, and I like the motor so well I am considering using a 1200 motor for my custom project. I just need to research a little more.
hero 6th December 2004, 20:51 Yup- I meant do you really need an incentive to buy one? For me, just the passion for the cycle & the way it gives you a silly grin when you ride it was enough to push me over the edge & sign on the dotted line! :D But if the factory pushes a grand in my face I would gladly help them spend it too...! Congrats on the ride once again..
Hardley 6th December 2004, 21:07 I don't usually see em parked in the grass. Seems brave
hero 6th December 2004, 21:14 Strange for a 1st post Hardley, but welcome anyway... How about an introduction?
cbrunson 6th December 2004, 22:57 Hardley,
I've never considered myself brave while my bike was parked. No worries, the ground is pretty stiff where I live. Thanks for your concern though. :frownthre
cypher 7th December 2004, 21:02 Hi Cbrunson, welcome to the forum. That's a great looking bike! I agree with the others....give me money and I'll spend it too!!
Wetcheez 7th December 2004, 21:47 Hey CBRUNSON, I just bought an 05 XL1200C also. We should hook up and go ride this summer. I live in Layton Utah. Not too far.
cbrunson 7th December 2004, 22:42 wetcheez,
I'll be passin through on my way to Laughlin next spring. How do you like the bike. I rode a '99 1200 before I got this one. Tremendous improvements. It handles better, it's more stable at 80+ mph, and alot smoother. I like mine alot.
Wetcheez 8th December 2004, 00:33 This is my first bike. As my wife says, I'm just a poser, but I'm havin the greatest time of my life. This bike seems to be absolutely perfect. I don't know what could be improved. I don't care if I'm a "real" biker. I'm too happy to care what people think and I learn more everyday by coming here.
cbrunson 8th December 2004, 16:48 You don't have to shed your Sunday best to enjoy riding. That's a neat thing about Harleys. People do it because they love it, regardless of what others think. Most of the people, (bikers) I've met, don't care who you are or what you wear, you're a friend in the wind.
Desertfox 24th December 2004, 16:05 I presume he means an incentive to buy one!!

It's a standing joke here that H-D Doesn't stand for Harley Davidson. It stands for Hundred Dollars. :( Seems you can't even get a pair of gloves from a Harley Dealer without spending that . :yikes
maddog 24th December 2004, 16:21 Welcome cb! Yep, H D does stand for Hundred Dollars. I know because I've spent about ten grand over the last 8 yrs on my '97 Hugger. But it's been worth every penny.
