At least that is what the HD website says. Anyway, I am getting my plans together and would like to formally invite any of you to join. I am planning to leave Vegas on Saturday August 4th and leaving Saturday the 11th. I'm still open as far as how many hours a day and where the overnights will be but I will be camping as I go and staying at the Chip for the week.

Last year we did 3 days out overnighting in Salt Lake City and Casper, WY. On the way back we did the 12 hours back to SLC and only had the last 6 hours for the second day. If anyone is feeling really crazy I'm considering an Iron Butt ride up. It is @ 1045 miles so it quallifies but I would only do it if others wanted to.

Anyway, let me know if you want to join or meet up there. I'm getting the fever and not even more cowbell will cure it.

Isn't that for dwarves on mini choppers? Wouldn't that be something to see. A long line of them. You would think they were far off in the distance but no, they are right in front of you.

Hmmm???This sounds like lots of fun!! I was suppose to go last year but my friend flaked at the last minute, and I was going to be staying with him and his friend. I am seriously considering this one!

i hate to :hijack

but i am trying to see if i can work this into my 2008 vacation
Question is it better to stay in the buffalo chip or glenco campground

I've never been to the Glenco but from what I know it depends on which bands you want to see and how long you are staying. The Glenco charges a flat rate of $300 if you are staying a couple nights or 2 weeks. The chip charges different rates starting with a nightly of around $40 to $255 for the rally week and then up wards for extended, ect.

The Chip is more popular and will probably be more packed and defiantly rowdy to all hours. If that isn't your scene you might want to look else where but I don't know if the Glenco is any calmer or not.

I know they both have websites and I also know the bands at the Chip were much better last year.

thanks thats what i was wanting to hear no point in making the trip and not staying where the action is

That's the greatest part about the Chip and probably the Glenco is the party is at your campground. You ride all day, look at stuff, spend too much money then head back to the campground and park the bike for the night. Go to a concert get drunk and WALK back to your tent. I don't think I ever got on the bike with more than a beer in me for the day and I was drunk every night.

I'll be staying at the Bulldog Campground August 6th & 7th.

Camping for fifteen bucks a night, cheap eats, dollar beers, and local bands.

My kinda Sturgis!

Then on towards Yellowstone.

GLENCOE is the SHIZZLE, MY NIZZLE--

It is ADULTS only for the most part. and there is adult entertainment at night. AKA more than a titty parade, titty parade if you know what I mean.

I was looking at the map and I think that it would be easier for me to ride up through Vegas. Maybe we could hook up in WY?? I really appreciate the offer to ride up with you and Sylvia, but going to AZ adds an extra day to my trip.

If additional crash space is needed in Cheyenne, I have spare beds for 6, and floor space for more as well.

I'll likely be going up the 8th or 9th depending on a project upgrade.
