View Full Version : Just need to vent!
My morning started out on a sour note with Paula and I parting ways in a bit of a snit (a whole 'nuther story!) and I left the house with out my wallet. Great! I had to ride all the way back home after I didn't notice I didn't have my wallet until I got off the scoot in my parking space...
Anyhoo, on my way back to work, I pull up to a stop sign third in line, making a right hand turn. So, I'm watching my mirrors and up pulls a lady in a little Kia 4-door cage. She proceeds to pull up to within a foot of my rear tire!
I do the "look down and back" to let her know she's WAY too close and she needs to do better next time. Well, the first car turns right and we all move up. What does this "lady" do? Yep, you guessed it...pulls right up to within a foot of my rear tire a second time!
I do the "look down and back" and add a "you're way to close!" and a pointed finger (no, not the universal "you're number one" sign) down to the narrow gap between her front bumper and my rear tire. Her response was to run her fingers through her hair!
So, the vehicle in front of us turns right and we all pull up...I'm the next one to turn right. Right on cue, this dingbat put her front bumper back to within a foot of my rear tire a THIRD time!
OK, I'm a fairly easy going kind of guy. I mean, it takes a bit to really get me going but once you do...LOOK OUT!
All I can say is, this woman really got me going! I let out a tirade that my former navy father would cringe at. And, I just sat there for a bit. Her response was a very agitated “go on" and she motioned with both hands at the same time.
I just sat there...I sat there when I could have gone and then there was more traffic and I had to sit a bit longer... Once the traffic cleared I gave her a few more choice words and made my turn and rode on to work.
I think the only reason I feel even slightly bad about my behavior is that there were other people behind this dumba :censor that I held up as well.
lschultz 2nd May 2005, 15:08 Yes some of them wimens are in a different world. You got to remember they got a body full of hormones that don't know which way to go.Maybe you should of dropped your pants and mooned her :yikes :D then she would of prodadly wet her pants :clap
Sometimes you just gotta vent. I've actually wondered about just calmly turning around and taking a picture of their vehicle would do.

Hmmmm...that's an idea. Not so sure it'd have any useful effect. It might work in states that require a front plate but, we don't have them here in SC. :frownone
freakyt 2nd May 2005, 15:17 Some people are freaking idiots man. I bet she still doesn't know what you were pissed about, unless you somehow worked that into your weave of obcene commentary on her driving practices.
Good eye
What a dumb b**ch. I really think the DMV should cover much more about sharing the road with motorcycles in the study handbook and drivers ed classes. They hardly mention anything about bikes.
pquirk 2nd May 2005, 17:44 I think you over reacted. She was obviously hot for you and just wanted a better look at your a$$. :laugh :smoke
I usually give a slight rap on the throttle and roll forward a few feet when that happens to me. That usually works for me buts there are those cases like yours and the following...
I drive through downtown Stillwater, MN on my way to and from work every day. It's your basic shopping-type tourist trap downtown with all sorts of shops and whatnot. There's a LOT of traffic that tries to move through downtown during the peak travel times and pedestrians are everywhere. I have to take a left across traffic (green arrow light) to get to WI and it’s not a very long light. To add to the confusion and tension the bridge to WI is a lift bridge and traffic downtown literally comes to a standstill when the bridge is up. Because of all of this most of the cagers want to pack as many vehicles into the turn lane as possible and they’re are in a hurry to get through the green arrow light before it changes. I’m sitting there at a red light one day waiting my turn with a couple of cars in front of me. I’ve left about ten feet between me and the car in front of me for a little bit of a buffer in case someone comes up behind me a little hot on the throttle. I see a big old Ford Super Duty coming up behind me slowing for the light and he did about the same thing…about one freaking foot from my fender!
I cracked the throttle and rolled forward a few feet. He does the same, again about one foot away from my fender. :madtwo
We repeated this little scenario again! :madhead
Now I'm starting to get rather close to the car in front of me. I rolled backwards until I was about two or three inches from his truck, shut my scooter off, put my kickstand down and got off. He couldn’t go anywhere since there was traffic stopped behind him now. As I approached his window, calmly yelling at him and pointing to my scooter, he started to roll his window up. I asked him politely in my loudest voice if he’d like to come out and see if we were close enough for his liking now or if he’d like our vehicles to actually touch each other. :angry He wouldn’t even look at me…f-ing f-er…
Ooo…sorry…rant mode was on...
Rant over.
Had ta’ share though...

In a Honda Civic was on her cellphone yaking it up at a 4 way stop and as my Uncle pulled out to go, she takes off and damn near took him out. She was less than a foot away from hitting his rear tire (t-bone style on the rear) and she stopped dead in the middle of the road and I was still at the stop and the girl was apologizing profusely to me (Uncle was parked up the road waiting for me) and I had a few choice words and gestures and she tears off down the road. My Uncle was mad at himself. He yold me that he knew better and should have waived the girl through before heading out.
BTW: During the whole incident, the b-tch never got off the PHONE!
