and here's her current (unfinished) state

mods include paint, XB wheels, billet aluminum pieces, carbon fiber bits, an misc odds and ends. I still have a bit more to do, but hopefully I'll have her running again next week. I'd have her running Thursday but the battery is toast and I'm broke, so we'll see what happens. Also those last pics were taken from the mock-up. I have the stuff fitted and bolted on now.

Morning bump for the people who don't read the Buell section...

Very nice! Rosenau powersporst? I bought my quad there. That girl is a long way from home. I didn't notice the lettering until you pointed it out.

Yeah, I keep forgetting to change the plates (that may get me in trouble lol). I flew to Detroit to buy this puppy and rode her home. The first picture is in Detroit.

Doc, I did the paint. I named her Priscilla a good while ago because she's just like a Spanish woman- sexy, sassy, wild, and high maintenance!

My Force exhaust came in today :D. Other than the crack that I'll weld back up, the pipe is in surprisingly amazing shape (especially at what I paid for it- $75 SHIPPED). It's always nice for things to work out better than planned. Did I mention that I LOVE these Scorpion Sync tires? They really complete the aggresive look I'm going for. I need some bags by May though, so I can complete the Sport Tourer look and have luggage room for the S2 rally I'm hosting in Leakey, TX. Hell, if I could find a deal on a set of HB bags and topcase from a Uly, I'd probably build a bracket for some of those instead of rebuilding the standard S2 bags. I've always wondered what a set of paint-matched HB bags would look like on an S2T. Then I could have the complete "adventure sport-touring" look. Maybe... All I know is that I need to have a working set of bags by May so I can carry stuff to Leakey ;).

Nice work. Now you need a single sided swingarm from Metmachex and it will be done. I like the simplicity of the paint. I also like the different wheels and carbon fibre accents.

Ralph, I'd love a solo arm. Why don't you buy me one and take it as a birthday present :D. If I had a soingle sided swingarm, this baby would be sportin' 10-spoke Marchesinis. That would be sweet... But alas, the inverted brake will have to do for now ;).

Leo, thanks to you and everyone else for the compliments. My only regret is that since it's a Buell, I posted it in the Buell forum. I'd probably have 5 pages to talk about if it was on the Sportster side lol. Not much traffic over here.

I can't wait to get this baby back on the road. I've been rebuilding her for 6 months, and I'm so close, and the weather's still nice here, and I have new gear...

Phelan, your S3 (right?) has always been a kick ass Buell that I dig.

I think you keep making the ride better and better, and yes Phelan on the tank is cool as heck. Nice work, keep it comin!!!

Who said you couldn't tart up a Buell?:laugh I like the paint job, very creative.

Thanks for the compliments fellas. Paulie, mine is an S2 ('95), made '95 and '96, which was the predecessor to the S3. The main differences are the removeable aluminum sideplates, HD controls, and super sexy hand-laid fiberglass body.

Looks great. I would love an old tube frame buell, maybe sometime in the near future...

How difficult is the XB wheel swap?

EDIT: never mind, I just saw your other post :headbang

Got the caliper bracket nearly done today. Just a few more things to assemble, and get a battery, and she'll be on the road!
