I need to know where I can find more info on the M-1162 service bulletin. It says that on certain early '04 Sportster models that the ICM needs to be flashed to correct the speedometer readind to high. I contacted my delaer and they heard nothing about it. Any information that anyone has that I can send to my dealer would be a great help!

Thanks. I will send that to my dealer. have you had this done to your bike and if so what did you notice different after it was done.

I haven't inquired on mine yet, but I think it was only for early '04s. I might be mistaken though. Others here can help on which ones need the reflash.

I have heard to check the ICM number. If it ends with an A then it does not need to be upgraded. If it does not end with an A, then it needs to be flashed.

I called the delaer back today. He somehow forgot to call me back. WEll anyways, they did find the info on the service bulletin and I get it into the shop on the 21st. Will let you know if I notice anything diferent.
