Looking for optional 3 1/4 gal fuel tank for 83 xr1000

I am picking up my XR's new tank from the paint shop tomorrow. Early 70s Harley OEM XR750 fiberglass tank. It just has a single mounting strap under it, so I may have to add some spacers to make it work. Check out Stortz's website. They have some neat stuff. I believe the ones they have are the later style XR750 tanks, which have more of a "teardrop" shape.

Hi-speedmotorcycles.com sells all kind of custom stickers to put on then, which show correct displacement, etc.

The 83-84 XR-1000 gas tanks were just regular sportster gas tanks painted with XR-1000 graphics and/or decals.

In that note, you could always use a regular sportster tank and repaint it XR colors unless you want something fancier. I would then probally go with the Stortz tank.
