Hello:

Make sure you have the current version of Acrobat 7.0.

Certain browser configurations do not properly display embedded PDF files, (with Acrobat Reader). Instead they display a blank screen, an error message or a blank screen with a small document image in the upper left corner. "File does not begin with '%PDF-'" is a known error message.

To get around this Adobe recommends configuring Acrobat as a helper, not a plug-in, here's how you do it:

To configure Acrobat or Acrobat Reader as a helper application:
Exit from the browser.

Open Acrobat, Go to Edit, Select Preferences (with version 7 in Categories go to Internet) and Disable the Display .pdf in Browser or Web Browser Integration feature. When the window opens and you are asked if you want to Open or Save the document Select Open and you may also Disable the checkbox asking if you always want to ask before downloading this type of document (.pdf).

When you are in preferences - you will see you have some flexibility with the configuration. Most people use the default configuration.

Popup blockers can give you some headaches too!

Good luck - Motorrunning

Mozilla (Firefox?) requires you download a plugin from the mozilla web site.

harley davidson service manual in PDF ?

Harley Davidson will never publish the service manuals in pdf because they can not protect their copyright that way.
