In Chicago, I saw a truck with a Baltika Beer advertisement on it. I have heard that Baltika Beer is one of the 5 worst tasting beers (http://www.bostongeek.com/2006/10/20/getting-rid-of-the-empties-the-5-best-and-worst-beers-so-far/) ("Tasted like ginger ale mixed with Bud Light. Absolutely horrid"), but let me tell you, the ad on the side of this truck would make me consider drinking it, and I don't drink beer. Has anyone seen this ad or truck?
I can't find a picture of the ad or the truck on Flickr or Google images or even on the Baltika site.

Chris,
Baltika is made in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is not bad tasting. If you are a Bud or Bud Lite type drinker, you won't like it. If your use to drinking micro brews, it right up your alley.
It a good strong beer and comes in a variety of alcohol levels, 0 to 9. (0,2,3, 5, 8, 9)Zero being no alcohol :( to nine at 9 percent alcohol.:)
I can tell you from personnal experience that the number 9 will put the big hurt on you real quick. :frownthre
I drink it every time I go to the russian clubs or bars. And, yes the russian babes look that good.:p

You're right on most of those points, except that I don't think the numbers represent alcohol content exactly. Yes, #9 will mess you up quick, but IIRC, #6 is the second strongest. #7 was pretty pale, weak, and tasted like butt. I think the numbers represent styles, as it seemed to me that one was a pilsner, one was a stout or porter, one was a wheat beer, etc. I haven't had any Baltika since the end of 2005 and the labels were all in Russian so I had to decipher each type of beer using my limited skills in Cyrillic. Since I was assigned to a military base in Kyrgyzstan at the time with a 4 beer per week limit, I had to figure out what the biggest bang for the buck was and #9 and #6 were my two beers of choice, and they were both surprisingly good as well as strong.
And it's true what you say, Russian women, or Eastern European women in general, are frequently smoking hot. I wish I had been able to keep in touch with my Bishkek babe, Oksana. Not only beautiful, but one of the sweetest and most sincere women I've ever met.
