I think from now on if you are discussing any place in a dry county you should be required to include that info. For example, I rode Deal's Gap (WARNING! DRY COUNTY!!!!) this weekend.

LOL, I think a sticky in the "places to ride" forum would help too.

This article (http://www2.potsdam.edu/hansondj/controversies/1140551076.html) is an interesting read. I had no idea that the alcohol laws in the US were so varied, inconsistent, and confusing. I didn't locate a list of these laws by state. I guess it would be too difficult to compile since they are so varied. So how is a person to know these things?

then again some counties aren't dry, their Moist.. which means that the county itself is dry, but they have a wet city. (eg Bowling Green, KY)

They have some crazy laws in different parts of the country don't they?

I don't know if it's changed, but you have to buy a whole case of beer in some counties in PA?

Other counties don't have Sunday liquor store sales, but you can go in a bar on Sunday and get six to go.

Had a similar problem in Georgia a few years back. Seems they couldn't sell alcohol on Sunday unless you were sitting down to eat. What the hell-worth a try. I went into a Parker's (like our 7-11's) and asked this very large lady behind the counter if she had any donuts.
"Yessir" says she;
"do you have a chair" says me";
"yessir" says she;
"fine", I said, "I'll have a donut and a case of Bud".

She gave me a funny look, looked outside to be sure nobody else was watching, then said, "yessir". Ate my donut & carried the case to the car

I dunno, it's worth a shot in KY.
