Anyone have any experience with the S&S xr 750 motor. I was just looking through their performance catalog and noticed that they built these motors. I'm not planning on building one anytime soon, but damn that motor looks nice.

Which catalog? What page(s)? I can't find that anywhere.

If they really do build XR750 motors, that would help me out a lot. I've got a custom XR750 project going (Champion frame, proper period running gear), and an S&S motor would probably be very appropriate.

I went back and looked through all of the catalogs and can't seem to find it. I had a few bears when I thought I saw one so that might explain it. I'll keep looking cause i'm pretty sure I saw one somewhere.

H-D still sells the XR-750 motor of course. It's in the Screamin' Turkey racing catalog. Is that where you saw it perhaps?

That's the only one I know of and it's a racing engine not well suited for any kind of street useage besides it's being quite expensive.

Sputhe engineering builds an XR-1000 engine. 100 hp out of the crate. Dont know the price but it looks sweet!!! They are based out of California and have a pretty decent website.
