I know a few days ago in this forum there was a discussion re. summer jacket, and there was quite a bit of talk about airflow or mesh jackets.

However, do any of you'all have any recommendations specifically about summer weight LEATHER with plenty'o vents ??

something thin, cowhide, but tough?? ... and not HD stuff loaded with logos either...

any hints/recs most appreciated.

but ya can't beat leather for crash protection....I've seen some of those mesh jackets that have been down the road....and they wern't worth wearing...may as well of had a T-shirt on

Try the Harley FXRG jackets. I bought one, and I love it for both cold weather riding, wet weather riding, and warm riding. It isn't plastered with all sorts of logos, either.

I got a "KERR" jacket. It has two vent zippers in the front, and one down the center of the back. but it is a heavy jacket. when i'm not wearing it, i'm usually in a t-shirt.(edit) it has no logos on it!! :clap I did buy it at HD :shhhh

I bought a "MOB" leather jacket from a local indy. It really isn't too bad when on the road. It has a zip out liner and 2 zippered vents up front and 2 zippered vents out back. It has extra leather at the shoulders & elbows. It is heavy though. But I'll wear it in the rediculusly hot and humid summers out here for protection alone.

When I purchased my sporty from the stealer I got a brand new original HD jacket the wife states its the best leather jacket she has had and belive me she has accumulated a few over the years.
