Some of you might have followed the link to the forum thread where i got that pic... The admin of the form commented that HD would use a VROD engine in the sportster R. I know, this is how rumors get started, but my mind is racing. Would it still even be a sportster?

I agree, that's what a vrod should look like.

However, you would have to hack the below-seat fuel tank to get the rear wheel in that close. That's the beauty of photochop; you don't have to worry about making the thing actually work.

You can see the how much longer the wheebase is on the PM machine (of course, there is a lot more rake on the front)

Yep, you're right - if you look close it's as much Kawasaki ZRX1200 as it is Vrod. Front and rear suspension, brakes and etc are "clipped" from a pic of a ZRX.

Cool bike, but just an illusion.
