Damn,I'm leaving for the coast this afternoon or I'd be there.
What route are you taking? just wondering. :)
I like doing hiway 35 down to Hood River and then back up the Gorge.
If time allows the old hiway up past Crown Point is always fun and quite twisty.
There's a back road that goes over to Dufur and has a great view of the mountain,it's just off 35 a bit and a nice side bar place to stop.
