Has anyone here experimented with trying to have all of the sex appeal of a SuperTrapp XR type header system mated to a 2 into 1 union and finally the 2 into 1 pipe? It just seems logical and I don't understand why SuperTrapp being a progressive company hasn't done this one yet.
Style plus two into one performance.

56er,
I have one of the original prototype thunderheaders on my XR-1000. It is a side mounted XR style thunderheader. It looks great, runs great and sounds great because it has no inner core. (It is a true reverse cone megaphone) I think it would be very easy for Rich Products to re-make this pipe for regular sportsters. (w/ the baffles of course)
Maybe we should write them.:p

I don't know who made these pipes but one looks to be Super Trapp muffler anyway. Regards, chieftd

Thanks bshadbolt, chieftd and jessearias for the info and the pictures. That's exactly what I plan to make for my bike.
I'm going to contact the Supertrap factory and try to buy the individual components and fabricqted the finished pipe myself.
Thanks guys - I have saved the photos to serve as a guide.
Best regards,

Harley used to put a 2 into 1 high pipe on their XR750's that were raced on 1/2 mile tracks. The 2 into 1 gave a little more torque at the expense of a little top speed, which was a better setup for the shorter track.
