WELCOME to the board!

I wish I had the talent with Photochop like you do.

I really like this one .... Except with the stock cast aluminum wheels

(those painted wheels are a little too much for my tastes)

Oh ya ... The frame would look better if it was just black powdercoat like stock.

Photoshop DOES help sometimes..especially when trying to visualize a big move like PAINT or fabrication..

unfortunately..the bike is ALREADY blue now....and hopefully the flames will come soon..(pricey).... I will either be getting some PM rims (rage)...or HD Thunderstar rims.

the blue rims were just so the OEM ones didnt stick out like such a sore thumb..

thanks for the comments.. =)

On your blue bike, the frame looks better in the blue color. For some reason, the brown bike would look better with a black frame.

Anyway .... VERY nice bike!

The blue flames could be done fairly easily if you know how to use a airbrush. there is a real good tutorial @ airbrush.com, just substitute the colors for shades of blue.

I have an old tank and have been practicing on how to paint the real fire. I'm almost there.

I like the swirled paint jobs in this order: Brown, Green, Blue

I'm gonna disagree with Turbota though, I like the brown frame and definately like the painted rims.

Welcome whispers. Love the bike blue with the real flames. And don't even think of losing the blue rims ... they look awesome.

Go with the blue swirl...............love it. Skip the painted wheels though unless you go black with only chrome rim edge...................my taste only. by the way welcome aboard.

The brown (with or with out a black frame) seemed to really show off the chrome and just add some nice custom chrome wheels. Keeler!!

Thanks guys...

hell,.. NEVER un-install photoshop... can save you TONS of money on mocks for painting to new parts, while not perfect all the time....better than nothing! LOL

anybody here have or know about wide rear tire kits for sportys? Not really to get one...just wondering how involved it really is to "modify" your frame as it says...

anyways...I have decided to do my solid color again...(for my tanks/tins)...but to add a 3D emblem to the sides.. was looking at HD ones..but decided to step out og the norm...so I got a couple belt buckles from Lucky 13...gonna grind the tabs off...

weld a couple (2 each side) pieces of solid stock about 1/4 in width..and abotu 1/4 in length... drill/tap one end.... so its a bunge type and attach my emblems on the sides of my tanks with couple lock-tite & screws

here are the choices I have it narrowed down to..

http://www.dmstudios.net/emblems/

I really dig 17, 13 & 9 so far..

should turn out great... I just gotta tack those things on.....do some body work & shape 'em....prime it shoot it... easier said than done.. =)

Its like a $500 - 800 program m'man! LOL.... and the release of Photoshop CS 2 just came out But I would say you need at LEAST CS to do easy as pie color correction... truly an amazing program.. I work for a software company (local web geek there)..so I have acces to anything really.. :shhhh

What kind of connection are you on?

I may be able to "help" you out.. ;)

John-

you like that one better than the cross on the belt??

I was tryign to stay away form black on this one..(have a another sporty going to be totally blacked out..rims too)....

I think the 3D emblem will be SICK....using the belt buckle..and then have a bracket on the tank..I can replace it as I see fit (as long as the buckle is average size)

Skippy- do ALL "R's" have dual front brakes? I never knew that.... or did you add them?

I want an R really bad...Im hoping to find an older one for CHEAPIE CHEAPIE!!

I used the black buckle right above the picture of the belt. I like the black Maltese the best on the blue. Let's see what it looks like done right.
