Anybody have any suggestions on nuts and bolts venders. Is it cheaper than going through the dealer?

You be it is! Check the web for suppliers of stainless hardware. It does'nt rust and shines almost like chrome. The standard hardware that harley uses is just Zinc plated. It is cheap stuff. The chrome will rust after a few good rainstorms. Stainless is definately better. Try to find someone close to you. Remember they don't have to be associated with motorcycles to sell hardware that we can use. I go to an indusrial suplier close to me to buy what I need.

Ya that'll do it. There are even greater priorities than having a new bike. Besides I like that old sporty of yours. A few changes and it could even be a nice ride :D

Look up "Fasteners" in the yellow pages. Here there are several, most sell stuff only in toooo large quantities - full boxes of 50 or 100 pieces. But we have one shop that sells stuff in "onesies and twosies". They have almost everything. The rest they will order in.

I am replacing all of the steel nuts, bolts, etc on my bikes with stainless.
