View Full Version : Will this wheel fit?

Hello,
I'm having my swingarm widened and lengthened. A friend has a rear wheel from an '06 night train (200mm tire) for me to use. Would anyone know if there is something that would prohibit me from using this wheel. I think I have to change the bearings to 3/4 but is there anything else to consider?

Thanks

If it has rubber on it, I would think about having it removed and mounted the other way since the Night Train is other side driven. Besides that, go for it, even that is no biggie.

Thanks!
That's what I needed to hear.

I'll keep the forum updated with the progress.

I'm pretty sure only overseas models haev rubber (not positive) for the drive side issue, just turn the wheel around.

I think he's talking about tire rotation direction. When you flip the wheel around, the tire rotation is reversed.

better be getting a new fender and moving the fender struts!

Yep. Or something like the Crossroads bike with a 180. I looks like they have enough ride height to clear, and just spaced out the top shock mounts.

Hey everyone,
Yes I am talking about the direction of the wheel only. Just want the pulley on the right side and the tire will then be mounted in the correct direction.

As far as the fender and struts; for now I'm just going with hardtail struts to sit just above the tire. The fender, will either be a fiberglass drag style or a very wide round to slip over the strut horns. I'm just experimenting right now. The swing arm should be done by next week then I will need to source the chain and sprockets.
