I am sitting here thinking about how easy it is to make someone you love smile. Do something special or out of the ordinary. Doesn't have to be expensive. Most times it's the "little things". Let your wife or husband know how important they are to you.

I tell her I love her every day.
And I also apologize every day. Just in case.

She kept asking me to read some weird book with her, I think its called "Love Dare" something to that effect. After I finally gave in and told her I'd read it, we read it for a couple days, then she just kinda slacked off on it. Who knew just giving in and saying yes would mean I don't have to read it. :)

Christy's mother is in hospice and not expected to live much longer. I've been sitting with Christy at her mother's bedside reassuring her that even after the loss of her parents she will never be alone.

Sorry to hear that. That is special.

After I found her sleeping with one of my subordinates, I left. I saw no reason to continue to pay for her and her four kids. Girl spent so much time on her back that the bottoms of her feet were sunburned. Her p:censory was so dry that the crabs carried canteens. I learned and am happy. Her new "man" was so ugly he could trick or treat over the phone anyway

Trying to get the hell out. Which of her previous three husbands (that I know of) were you? If we get all of us together we could play football. Met most of you and all you guys seemed decent. Hmmmm.......

Tell her I love her every day (I do!)
Snuggle.
I didn't have a lot of that growing up, and neither did she. And she deserves it!

I disagree. I answered, exactly, the question that was put forth. I am glad that it does work for some. It just isn't for me, ever.

Divorced her 29 years ago and have not seen or spoken to her since. She just got on her broom and flew away one day leaving me with the kid. Goodbye and good riddance!

I'm not married but..
I knew at work one day my GF, she was having it rough and working over time I went into the office to get her she protested so I just grabbed her up and took out ot my bike and went out to dinner.
her boss called me she was getting well "moody"
Now when I having a bad day or work is making me moody she grabs me and takes me out to eat.
there are a lot of things to do, the only limited is the imagination
chocolate is always nice Never cheap stuff and "dark chocolate" is best.
A single rose, from a florist not your neighbors yard.
A how are doing or thinking of you card a real card is best but a ecard will do.
a simple XXOOO text message at an unexpected time of day is always nice.
and if your trusting offer to clean the house and let her have some Me time.
call her GF's over give her some money and tell her have fun BTW this works for me when I want to go to the bar and watch football on monday night.
a simple necklace or bracelet.
a new scarf or pair of gloves.(sometimes without a HD logo or Mechanix logo on them)
and be willing to go the extra mile like buying tampons or similar stuff for her.

Bob F : 30 yrs and still crazy in love with each other. You have what every couple who shared their vows could only dream of. Both of you should feel proud of your success.
Stonemaster: You're not alone on that miserable road. It is not easy. The answer was told to me long ago, didn't believe it. I have read articles, watched programs, and have attended court ordered classes. The answer never changed.
I should have been out of this marriage 8-9 yrs ago. Everyone involved in this kind of relationship suffer. Especially the kids. Children know when mom and dad don't get along anymore, even when tried to be hidden from them. They suffer inside.
I don't regret the marriage or wish it never happened, but I'd like to have back the yrs of un-happiness and empty emotions. I know the longer you stay in this situation the harder it gets to leave. Good luck to you.

I still sleep with her - isn't that enough after 25 years? :laugh
Its hard to explain but its the most ridiculous and small things that make us laugh and love each other to bits.
25th Anniversary in July - booked 3 nights at the Hilton Kensington London.

Now that's going to be fun
When you tell the door man to park your bike?
After 36 years I just hide in my shed with my bikes.
And I fix the car when it goes wrong
And paint the house
And put up with all her rants about the kids
And take her on the bike for long rides and holidays
Plus lots more

I sold my bikes and 70 Mustang so we could raise a family. Now that the kids are older and almost out, I have my bike, but she won't get on it. Looks like I get two vacations this year, mine and ours....not too bad!

I leave little notes in his car steering wheel late at nite. Telling him I love him. Or leave a note on the mirror of our bathroom - telling how much I want him. Make his very favorite meal. Let him go do stuff with the hassle.
Same here! (about 35 years ago) :frownthre

I finally cleaned out the rain gutters my wife has been buggn me to get done. I always gas up her car so she doesn't have to. I do the maintainance on our cars. I even do the dishes because she cooks for us. I really hate doing dishes. I hate taking down the Christmas lights too. I think they should stay up all year long. That way your the first to have them up next year. She doesn't agree.

Buy some life insurance on her... ? Hope for an accident? J/k Wait till the kids are grown and see if you still feel the same.
She gets my undivided attention when she is telling me about her day.
I tell her I love her everytime we part.
She knows I enjoy her company.
She knows she is my best friend.
Been this way for over 26 years.

When I met my wife, she was living in an apartment with no electricity. Her BF ran off to Virginia with the car, left her with nothing. She had no job, and no money. I let her crash at my place. I was a single Dad at the time, and she took to my kid right off. Now she drives a nice truck, lives in a new house, and we have an 18 month old son together. I make sure she will never find herself back in the same situation again. We tell each other everyday what great friends we are. Life is good.
