the 90 and 80 represent the Sidewall, not the girth the 130 is the width.

The 80 or 90 is aspect ratio.....ideally all 130/80 tires are identical and all 130/90 tires are identical, but in reality it isn't so. Manufacturers do have specs to tell you the width of their tires mounted on different wheel widths and such, but generally all 130/80's are about the same width. The 80 means that the tire sidewall is 80 percent of the tire width, and a 90 means the sidewall is 90 percent of the tire width. Ideally, a 130/100 would be 130 mm wide and 130mm tall, and a 130/50 would be 130 mm wide and 65 mm tall, tall meaning the measurement from the rim to the top of the tread. Wow.did I write all that! Simply a 130-90 is taller than a 130-80.

which would lower my rear height what 10mm? :dunno seems for a temporary situation it should do the job then. what do you think?

Lowered is cool. I'm checking into how low I can go with shocks right now, got 10 and 11 inch home made struts for fitment checks, bike came with a set of new in package 11 1/2 in shocks, 12 1/2 on bike. Most folks think that 60 series car tires are wider than 70 series, but they are the same width, 60 's are lower. Same with bike tires. But most car guys go to 60's to get wider, and end up dissapointed cuz they didn't upsize, like from 235/70 to 255/60....same height (close) and wider by 3/4 inch or so. Bikers at least know that the first number is the width, we usually don't worry much about the aspect ratio...but your right, it would lower your bike nearly a 1/2 inch...COOL.
