The speed triple is amazingly fast though. I ride an 03 bonneville america. Almost 23k miles and not a problem. biknut 2nd August 2007, 17:17 Every once in a while I ride my sons 06 1050. The power band is tits up. Very torquey. It seems geared too low to me. At 80 mph the engine sounds buzzy, but it's very smooth. I hate the riding position. You have to go at least 80 to get your weight off your wrists. It handles great. Even though it has 2 big (ugly) headlights they're not very bright. I wouldn't trade it for my sporty though. Compared to my bike it's butt ugly, and sounds like crap. celtic 2nd August 2007, 18:07 sat on the speed triple at a dealer this past tuesday... riding position was not workable at all for me. sat on a t-100 and a bonnie black.........friggin COMFY i wish i was a rich man so i could have a stable of bikes... ducati, triumph, warrior, honda 599, norton, vincent... oh, and a shitload of cars, too! i hate boring rich people...Leno has life by the balls!
