The new Triumph Street Triple. Daytona 675 meets Speed Triple. I like it.

I like the looks of their crotch rockets, but I'm still a sucker for the triumph vertical twim and it don't matter how old or new

The Speed Triple always gets my attention. I would have bought one if I thought I could handle the horsepower.
Instead I bought the Sportster because I've always wanted one. It was and is still the right decision.

My local triumph dealer is supposed to have a few for demo rides in a few weeks, I think I might be picking one of these up next year :D
MSRP is $7999, local dealer is selling them for $8500 plus.

Not a big fan of their sport bikes. The speed triple is amazingly fast though. I ride an 03 bonneville america. Almost 23k miles and not a problem.

Every once in a while I ride my sons 06 1050. The power band is tits up. Very torquey. It seems geared too low to me. At 80 mph the engine sounds buzzy, but it's very smooth. I hate the riding position. You have to go at least 80 to get your weight off your wrists. It handles great. Even though it has 2 big (ugly) headlights they're not very bright.
I wouldn't trade it for my sporty though. Compared to my bike it's butt ugly, and sounds like crap.

I've always wanted to hear a Speed Triple with a set of cool pipes, but everytime I see one it has the stock pipes and sounds like nothing. Anyone ever heard one with other pipes?
