I had seen this already on the "Eifel Riders" website/forum. That's VERY early in the season, so it might be as cold as it is expensive.

Have you seen their "Packages", starting at 199 Euros and going up to... (I had to close my eyes not to see it, these prices are almost obscene!) :doh

FYI, two months later June 4-6, the BeNeLux HOG Rally will be held near your place. You'll find the link on the ERGK Site as well. It's cheaper and should be just as nice as in 2006. LAROCHETTE (G-D of Luxemburg) is easy to reach (Bitburg - Echternach - Larochette), some 60kilometers west from SP (and 40 east for me).

And of course, in August, the ERGK Rally, will be the place to be!

Yeah I did see the prices, and agree that is crazy.

I already have time off work for this in April so I will probably go. And its our opening event.

Found the link to the Benelux Rally

http://www.2010.lu/

Benelux isn't much cheaper 80euro to get in the rally, then the cheapest camping package is 21euro per night So 143 if you stay all 3 nights.

80 is correct for the BeNeLux HOG Rally, but I did pay 60 , and this includes 2 breakfasts and one evening meal. I agree that the price for camping is high at 21 Euros per night. The owners of that camping site are Dutch, so they must be greedy :p, but they're well organized.
And I think their 21 Eur are for up to 3 or 4 people. And what 's the difference between 3 or 4 people in a large tent, trailer or camper, and the same number of people putting up 2 small igloo tents on the same surface? None IMO. The problem is when the camping site wants as much money from one person as from four. I still have to check that.

Just for comparison, the camping site two years ago in La Roche (Belgium) charged 8 Eur per night and person.
No idea about last year in the Netherlands, I did'nt go there,... I just don't enjoy roads that are straight and flat!

Among the many events listed on the ERGK's 2010 calender, there is one that Brian listed as Orval party on June 19, with the following comment "Good beer there". He could have added that the roads and landscapes are not bad either.

That event is actually called the OCCB Rally and will start from the village of Chassepierre this year. The location has changed. Ideally situated for a ride out along the Semois river, a superb riding area. I've been to their Rally before, it's a small event, somewhat similar to the one in Spangdahlem.

If you want to see what the area west from Chassepierre looks like, just check this thread:
