Thks.......Dan stevo 10th December 2004, 10:11 quick answer NO..... Maybe if ya know what ya doin but if ya gotta ask then I'd say NO sportymark 10th December 2004, 10:32 There is too much difference in the 04/05 engines, so the answer is no. It is amazing how little from previous models will fit the 04/05's. TechRep 11th December 2004, 02:07 biggdan, Not sure on the SE, but I called Andrews about my cams two weeks ago. The Andrews are listed as Mfg part 298130 for 00-and up. They said the same number works 00 thru 05. This update they sent out is for installing a new cam gear on 91-99 or 2000-up. From what they told me there is no differance in the Andrews installation 2000 -2005. The #2 cam drive gear for 2000 and up have 46 teeth. The #2 cam drive gear for 91-99 have 36 teeth. The set I have (298130) already has the ignition drive slot in the new proper position for the timing and a 46 tooth drive gear. Ya' I know... It still doesn't answer your question about the SE cams, but it makes me think, why would SE be differant? Maybe someone at HD can tell you. Techrep barry1967 11th December 2004, 02:24 The only difference between the 00-03 nad the 04 cams is the number of cam teeth. The pinion gear has the same #of teeth but the newer 04 cams have more teeth on them where the 4 gears mesh together. I didn't count them but they are very noticable when held next to each other. I have a set of 2000-up Andrews in my bike now with no problems. |
