Since the bike is gloss, I personally would do the pipes gloss as well.
Some people like to have different types of black on the bike...
MidWest XL had a gloss black bike and put on flat black pipes right before he sold it.

Will the finish on your pipes hold up ok (especially on the ends around the heads) with just powder coating?
I have never heard of powder coating that can take that much heat. In fact, the powder melts to a nice finish in a 500 degree oven ... your head pipes get alot hotter than that ... Maybe you know something I don't?
Personally, I would opt to get them JetHot coated black.
BTW ... I think a set of satin black pipes would look nicer on a gloss black bike ... or any bike for that matter

May be I used the wrong term (powder coated) these will be ceramic coated is the correct terminology or process?

The satin would be a great compliment to the gloss areas on the bike jmho.

I've heard up to 200 bucks or more. Two things that make it more expensive than regular powder coating is that they need an oven that goes up to 700 unlike 300 or 400F for regular powder. Also the ceramic coating is really expensive I guess.

Cermamic is cool, but it's hard to find around my parts. They make a high temp powder coat that is good for 1200*F, and I know our exhaust doesn't get that hot. It isn't suitable for turbo's or diesel engines but I think I'll be good. It's true that it originally melts at 500 or so, but it changes and becomes very hard and heat resistant after that. Cermanic coating is baked at 700*F and can take incredible heat. I'm picking my high temp coated pipes up in a hour so I'll let you know.

I got my pipes ceramic coated about 9 months ago and I am not happy with it. I got the parts by the heads satin black and the last step silver. I don't know If the place I got it done didn't do a good job or if thats just the way it is but the satin black isn't very durable and its already baking off by the heads. BTW mine costs about $110. I'm going to have them jethot coated when I get back home from school. Please keep me updated on how yours holds up! Here a pic from when they were new
