Long story short:

Bought FXRG leather jacket in NYC, took it home to Norway, jacket too big..

What to do?

Ask local dealer (not where I bought my bike) if he could trade me another one.

He took my FXRG, asked me what I wanted in return, handed me my new Half-Mile Jacket, and I walked out happy. Sure it's a different jacket, but it still would have cost me much more than I paid for the FXRG in the first place.

He could easily just have said no, but took the time and effort to help me out.

There's a lot of discontent with dealers in the forum (and probably for good reason), so I just thought I'd share a happy story too.

Thank You, Garman . . .!

I thought I was the only one who had a most
excellent adventure at a Harley dealership . . .

Sure glad to hear you two have had great luck with dealers...can I have ur autographs??? They could be worth a LOT one of these days....as it seems decent dealers are getting few and far between. It' nice to know there are STILL some around........

Good deal Garman. Yes, there are many good dealers out there. But just like anything else in life it seems only the bad ones are remembered and/or mentioned.

Hi

That was nice of the dealer :-) The HD equipment is way too expensive here in Norway so I have bought all that I have abroad. But my local HD dealer don't seem to mind that I buy stuff on the net and then ask them to do the work on the bike.

Sounds like Norway has at least one good dealer, to bad is too far for me to swim. You guys are lucky.
