1996 Buell S2T (owned by yours truly)
NRHS/Axtell 1250 kit
NRHS Stage 2 '04 XL1200 heads
SE 536 cams
Buell "race kit" exhaust
Mikuni HSR42
Buell "race kit" ignition (same as SE "Q" module)

Buell S2's were the first model produced after the Harley buy-in to Buell Motor Company. They were only made in 1995 & 1996 and they all used a regular XLH1200 Sportster motor, not a Buell specific motor. So this one has the same heavy flywheels as a Sportster, and came with "D" cams and the crummy hemi type heads. Factory stock they made 62-65hp, a little more than the Sportster due to the Buell pipe and airbox, but still pretty anemic.

Both of the '04 XL1200 heads on this motor were "rejects", i.e. we accidentally botched them and they were not suitable for sending to a customer (hey, people sometimes make mistakes, fortunately it's a rare occurrence). So they ended up on our junk shelf for several months until I dusted'em off and tried to salvage them for this bike, just because the motor in the bike was getting tired and I had to do something with it. Couldn't really fix'em, and they ended up well short, flow-wise, of our Stage 2 standards. So I was very surprised to see the bike pull these numbers. I'll take it ;)
