Well I got really sick of my weight and I really missed working out.So I stopped complaining and took action!
I first stopped drinking so much!!! Ugh...
I went cold turkey with it...I didnt have any alchohal for the entire month of Febuary...nothing..not even a SIP of beer!!!
Of course that didnt last too too long as I am a party girl at heart!LOL
However I do have it under control.I have 3 beers fri, sat, sun.Thats all I allow my self and I love being in control of my life again.
I also do 45mins of dance cardio and another 40-45 mins of strength training.
So far I have dropped from a size 3 pant sizes and I am getting my muscles back...not bad huh?:banana
I also have changed my diet.I measure all my food...I have a 1/2 cup skim milk with 1/2 cup crispx and strawberries for breakfast.Having a tuna fish sandwhich on whole grain bread with mustard and lettuce, and a piece of fruit for lunch.Dinner had been grilled lemon pepper chicken breast with brocclli,salmon with white rice...you get the idea...
anyways..just wanted to share and hope that I can inspire someone...I almost gave up...but I know I have to keep goin!!!

Good for you Brandi! It sounds like you are going at it from both sides...diet and exercise. That is the way to do it.
I find that I have to keep some variety in my workouts otherwise I get bored. I finished P90X a couple of months ago and I'm thinking about going back to it if I can't find anything else to keep me interested. The one thing that I can stick with is running. I love it even when it sucks.
Keep at it and don't give up. If you have slip-ups, don't let them derail you. Just get right back at it. And remember, pain is weakness leaving the body.

Way to go Brandi! keep it up. I waited until I had a health crisis to do that. I had 2 stents put in my heart last month, so I quit smoking and started dieting and walking every chance I get. I am down to 246 and still loosing.
at your age you still be able to party good!:smoke but don't let up on the exercise and diet, it will keep you healthy and slim! and then when you get older you won't have the problems alot of us baby boomers are starting to have now. :frownone

I am getting motivated. I saw Avatar last night and the colonel has to be my age and he looked like I should. I will start the pushups today and get rid of these man boobs and then go from there. I have the muscle just can't see it under the layer of fat. You are doing great Brandy.

Excellent for you Brandi.
I worked out for 4 straight years, then fell off the wagon for a year.
January, I started working out and watching my diet again and I have lost about 22 pounds since and I feel great.
Set your goal and keep moving towards it and don't forget to treat yourself once in while.
