05 top end on 95?

I have an offer for 05 883 cylinders, pistons and heads with only a few thousand miles on them. Pretty cheap. I have been thinking about the 1200 conversion and thought about getting these, having them bored and maybe the heads opened up a bit ahead of time so my ride is not down for as long. I have seen where the 04 up heads have larger fins and that's probley slightly better too. Any thoughts?

The only thing I can see getting in the way is where the top motor mount is. I dont know if that's different or not.

that's about right on, I know the push rods are shorter . . . 0.0020 If I'm not mistaken, dan at nrhs could give you the specs . . . the heads have different mounting holes, and having an 04 and up head decked out is expensive because they switched to a 7mm valve stem, and 883 heads no longer have the same size valve seats as the 1200's, so in order to install larger valves, you're lookin at havin new larger valve seats put in as well.

you're Most likely best off getting a set of 05 1200 heads and playing with those.
