Well got a Corbin Hollywood Solo for a lister here. And the 1st impression is WOW this thing is thin and low profile ( All my life i've been a low rider, bada bada bada da da di di di dity..... ok enough......) I thought to myself, "Self, there is no way this skinny thing is going to feel good." So the doubt came creeping up my spine and into my brain, "Shit I wasted a 100 bucks!"
So I put it on the scoot, damn sure changes the lines, and gives it an aggressive look it other wise did not have. Fit real nice and went on no problem. It has a wild sweep to it. I couldn't help but think no way this will be comfy.

Ok the butt challange.......\
I sit on it and think oh crap this is going to make my but go numb in 5 secs. I waited for about 3 hours before I went ridding. It was 98* yesterday too hot for a review.

Sun started to dip behind the majestic Wichita mountain range, the buffalo were gathering for the nightly trek to to thier feeding grounds. The baying of the cyottes echoed off the low line clouds, with it soulful tone.... WHOA what just happened?....

Fired her up and took off. Had some pressure spots right off the bat. But dang if it wasn't kinda comfy. I can not believe that something so thing could actually provide comfort. The more I rode and the more I squirmed in my seat the adjusted I became to the seat. I went from a custom 2 up seat. Very thick and firm (great damn seat), to this one. I have read that it takes a while for this seat to break in to the riders posterior, so I will give it a while. I really puts you low to the floor. I could drag my knuckles on the ground with it. Really I cant beleive how low it sits you.

Impressions:
Pro: I love the look, Love the solo thing. Real low to the ground no problems in foot control when I'm stopped. Didi I say how it does provide comfort for being so thin? Well it does. Got it for 100bucks from a lister (THANK YOU you know who you are :) )

Cons: Still get pressure in the lower pelvic girdle region (Ischium, of the pelvic girdle and the Inferior pubic ramus for who really want to know) but this may change as it is formed to my butt. When I get on the throttle I have no "lip" to keep me in the seat. AT 2nd gear when I grab a hand full and send it to the red line it will pull you off the bike no lie. Other than that I reall have no other probs with it.

Overall pleased with it. Hope this helps anyone who's looking for one. I will post pics and a vid of my pipe sound later this week if work allows. Have fun all.

Glad to hear you like ur new seat. I have had a Corbin Solo seat for about 5 years now and I love mine as well. Lived 30+yrs in Calif. and before I moved back--took a ride to Hollister and got it. Very cool seat.
Enjoy this site and make urself at home. Remember-you are "One" of a Proud Crew. :clap

I got the same seat, can't beat it after break in. I'm surprised you thought it was comfy with your spine problems. I'm glad you liked it. You're right, you really can't beat the lines of it. :smoke

You just can't hardly go wrong if corbin makes it. Most all corbin's are extra firm and take awhile to break in. But once you get it broken in there's not a better seat!

I got an old crusty one off of ebay for $15.

I strapped it on my Nighthawk and my 1st impression was "damn this is a hard seat. I dont like it."

But I figured for 15 bone "whathahell".

So I decided to take a spin around town. Needless to say 95 miles later when I decided to stop for gas I was hooked. The best thing I ever put my ass on.

No lie. My GF wines cause I took it off so I can get it restiched...one day!

I will swear by those seats. I put on 1500 miles in 2 days on that seat. Never felt better.

I have a question about the corbin hollywood. Does it cover the whole that most solo seats bolt to? I have a mothers solo luggage rack I want to use, but I need to use that screw to bolt it on, It may work if the seat just barley covers that whole?

Thanks for the nice review. I'm looking into the solo seat option and it is always nice to read about other peoples experiences. So where can you get this for 100 dollars? On the Corbin website the price is about 300 dollars. ANd was it tricky to install it on your bike?

Not tricky at all to install. I got mine for $150 from go parts direct. I have a pre-04 so it is a little bit cheaper. I'm not sure you can find it for that cheap.
