Emission checking your Ironhead

I'm new to AZ and I'm told that I have to emission check my bike here. Any of you with Ironheads have trouble getting it to pass emissions? Anything I can do to ensure that I'll pass? I've never had to deal with emission checks before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

According to ABATE, Maricopa county is the only county in the country that requires motorcycle emissions testing. And you thought California was crazy. :laugh:laugh:laugh

I guess if you register it in Maricopa county you need testing, otherwise you're good to go. Hopefully some AZ residents will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah I know all this. I wish I had a different address to use outside Maricopa county. I just need to know if there's any tuning I need to do or look into before going to get it checked.

Also the site lists a price for 1981 and new vehicles. What about prior to 1981?

FYI--I have never had a problem with a bike that is running correctly.
